The Brahmanic/Hindu caste system is not only Hierarchial it is also Hierarchial by Job/Work. For example: Say someone from the so-called 4th class becomes rich he may be assigned a status of a Vaishya (Businessman) castes as history has shown us but he would never be a Scholar/Intellectual/Religious preacher since the intellectual tasks are only to be left to the Brahmins.

This is an argument against the Upward mobility logic you asserted.

Ideally the entire caste system itself should be uprooted beginning with of-course the Brahmins. It cannot be denied that the Brahmins are the root and soul of the entire system of castes and in the end it is they and only they who are benefiting the absolute most from it. If at all Caste system has to be finished in the near time future the Brahmin caste itself has to cease to exist if by force.Saurav Bhasinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21825668.post-83518905888203546852016-03-29T17:04:44.598+05:302016-03-29T17:04:44.598+05:30It is a myth that the Mauryan Empire was of Sudra ...It is a myth that the Mauryan Empire was of Sudra Origins. Though it does not really make a difference - Chandragupta Maurya was of Indo-Scythian origins. It was in the background of the Buddhist revolution that his grandson Ashoka took charge and immediately implemented:-
a. The Banning of the Vedic Religion.
b. Practically speaking the Caste System was banned. It was for the first time after thousands of years that the Sudras were given an opportunity to display their immense talents. It was in the background of the Buddhist revolution(as I said) and caste was pretty much irrelevant.Saurav Bhasinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21825668.post-24623421559231603732013-11-08T17:38:31.725+05:302013-11-08T17:38:31.725+05:30Epic man !! Exactly this is what in the offing wit...Epic man !! Exactly this is what in the offing with the right wing parties getting the voters confidence oflate .

1)There is a severe leadership crisis among the dalits after Ambedkar.

2) None of the OBC and dalit community leaders tried to forge them or at least reconcile the differences that are arising between them both with the slow rise of dalits in villages too. So this would mean upper hand for upper castes.

3) Most importantly with the cities growth after 1991, there is physically a geographical disconnect with the rural families and elite isolation is only increasing at an unprecedented rate among the dalits from their rural relatives.

4) There is no visionary among the dalits . Kanshi ram was better at least than the neo-duplicitous leaders who are unable to decide the future course of dalit community.

5) RSS,BJP has a simple agenda. Just make whole India hindu. So, they will deny caste system. Then promote homogeneity saying all our DNAs are same. Then they will promote aggressive agenda against converts. Then they will make india as bharat constitutionally. They are zilch bothered about justice to vulnerable and legitimacy in our actions. I call this whole process religious imperialism.Mr.Kancha Iliah has clearly exposed how local tribes and cultures are all forced to accept hinduism. Take lambadis or any other native tribe. They have their own deity, puja, festivals etc which are all not there in manu dharma, vedas etc., But officially they are all hindus. Even yadavs etc have their own culture. Mundas too..there are infinite local cultures in India which are no way related to Hinduism but are hindus officially

6) Last 15yrs is a process where middle class, media, corporates and filthy rich politicians have united and all are against poor, dalits etc., Everything in TV is for middle class only . Even the roads are favouring to motorists while walking and bicyclists populn is increasing ten times more. Hence more accidents in India. The social media hates 'inclusive' , 'secular' , 'appeasement' etc., All they think is India full of them and all others are slaves. I reckon doomsday for dalits very soon with these right wing parties gaining the pace.

Ambedkar was too considerate about Hindus. Though christians, muslims are trying to lobby him he endorsed buddhism out of sheer concern for hindus, which played a spoilsport in dalit's future. I agree dalits are becoming more and more upper caste and hindu than hindus themselves. Had Ambedkar suggested and showed a nice direction adopting any other religion than hindu -like buddhism Dalits today would have risen as a separate identity.char picshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01012668324726674258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21825668.post-46812737228570336742008-05-10T23:15:00.000+05:302008-05-10T23:15:00.000+05:30Our leaders and bloggers need to learn from Barack...Our leaders and bloggers need to learn from Barack Obama.
