Telangana burns

Yesterday a kid named Yadaiah immolated himself near OU campus.  Last night he died due to severe burns.  Yadaiah was a class XI student living in Rangareddi district.  He was an orphan.

Dileep Konatham wrote this yesterday:

Friends:
I write this email with a burning heart and tears rolling down my eyes. I went to Osmania University today morning to cover the Chalo Assembly protest called by students. The situation was tense as thousands of students and police pushed and shoved each other for over 3 hours. A batch of students broke the police cordon and ran towards Vidyanagar. I followed them with my camera. Some of these students were intercepted at Vidyanagar, while a few managed to escape from here too.   The next batch was intercepted at Narayanguda. This is where students scattered into small groups.  I then came home.

I switched on the television only to see the most ghastly visuals of my life. A youngster named Yadaiah immolated himself at OU gates. The visuals of Yadaiah running like a ball of fire will remain etched in my mind for eternity. It was exactly the place where I was standing barely 30 minutes ago. Yadaiah suffered over 80% injuries and was shifted to Apollo DRDO hospital.

It is shame that while youngsters are sacrificing their lives like this our leaders have shamelessly decided to cheat us yet again.

Each passing day the agony is becoming unbearable.

Telangana is like Yadaiah in many ways.  Telangana burns, from betrayals, from disillusionment, from disenchantment.  Telangana like Yadaiah is orphaned.  Every political leader who has used them for their votes has now abandoned them.  Telangana like Yadaiah stands clueless, leaderless and rudderless.

In the recent past, every political leader made a beeline to Osmania University and made many promises.  Few weeks ago, all of them took an oath on a dead OU student’s body and swore that they will relinquish their positions for the cause of Telangana.  But now when the time has come to give up their positions, they have abandoned the cause of Telangana and are holding onto their positions on the diktats from their Madams and Babus.

Today, every Telangana person identifies with burning images of Yadaiah.  Today the whole of Telangana is united in grief, is abandoned, and is orphaned.

  1. Are any of the leader's children immolating themselves ?

Are any of the internet based T-separatists going to get out of their safe comfort zone and do this ?

    Will they do it ?

  4. A tribute to our poor brother who burnt himself in disappointment...

He came all the way from Nagaram to the city to ask our public representatives for justice, and they greeted him with police barricades.

He closed his photo/video store and came to the city by an early bus.

He is a responsible bread-earner of the family as well as a student.

Th blood that runs in him didn't allow him to tolerate the neglect and injustice meted out.

His Sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Nor the love showered by our law-breakers who broke bones along with laws on Valentines Day in OU.

May his soul rest in peace.

  6. To the anonymous bastard ranting here...

In the struggle for Indian Independence, the rich classes of the Nehru-family types didn't face the police bullets.. nor did they participate in satyagrahas or dandi march.

But still, we got our freedom from the colonizers. Any guess on who rules us?

We got our freedom when the working class and the poor stopped buying salt and foreign made goods... stopped obeying laws and showed their disagreement with the rulers in many ways.

The stark difference between then and now: There was hope back then, among people. Today, we are getting HOPE-LESS day after day. And... hence... the suicides.

Our hearts go out to the children of Telangana who are orphaned by :
    -public representatives
    -state govt.
    -central govt.
    -police and law-breakers.
    -their TELUGU-BROTHERS and SAMAIKYAVAADIS!!!

I wonder why Lagadapati didn't attend our brother's funeral... Oh! right! He belongs to seemandhra, not telangana. And... Thank god! he didn't insult our brother's sacrifice with his presence.

  7. There is something sinister in this entire episode. Please read my comments with a open mind.

We saw in the morning that students tried to enter city and police stopped them without causing any incident. After a few hours students went back to hostels. On the whole it looked like this 'muttadi' failed.

Now out of nowhere one person sets himself on fire. once again violence flares up. OU students tried their best to enter city at habsiguda area with a intent to do violence. Police once again stopped them without using too much force.

I think this yadiah was forced by some vested interest. When i say forced, i dont mean like gun point , i mean like saying we must sacrifice for T , we will become martyrs etc kind of brain wash. These vested interests do not want movement to loose steam. They want it turn violent. When they saw muttadi was foiled by police without much violence , i think they put their plan B into action. One poor soul who was brainwashed was sacrificed for their selfish gains.

Keep fighting for T , but save your people from these vested interests.

Do you know that more than 400 people died in Separate Andhra agitation in 1972/73 ?

Why didnt Chenna reddy and others support that movement at that time.

Andhra people were so sick of not having a legal right to work in Hyd, that they wanted to separate without any conditions.
They did not even ask for capital city.

How come none of T-separatists even morally supported that movement then ?

But... when OU students were beaten up anna, the same students... not a single person from AU or SKU expressed anger at police-dogs.

Now.... you are denying that yadiah didn't commit suicide.

Anna... that kid was running AWAY from all help offered anna... he ran for 50 meters anna... and all the while he was shouting "JAI TELANGANA".

If you don't have any respect for Telangana people anna... so be it... but... please stop insulting a poor brother's death anna.

There is a rule of law in this country. We cannot have violent mobs running amok in the city. Thats why police foiled this 'muttadi' which was a good thing in hindsight. We saw in the evening how much stone pelting was done by students in Habsiguda and Tarnaka areas. Once again police must be appreciated for the restraint they have shown.

As far as the Muttadi is concerned....

  28. Reality,
I explained to you why section 144 in OU campus is not constitutional. Still you try to prove your argument by such sundry reasons.
    You gotto be mature man.
If a tyrant police uses all its power to subdue your legal method of showing discontent it is not called law any more. It is sheer brutality.
144 section in campus is the same.
Many times our indian courts have expressed their discontent in the way the police use their power.
Still you go on to support their actions of brutality.
You would understand one day when your property is occupied by some leader or govt. on the name of eminent domain and you try to protest and are beaten badly on the name of Law and order.
That day you will understand what the telangana people are actually protesting.
For now you are supposed to keep quiet. It needs certain degree of maturity to understand things that may not be in your own interests.
Many like sujai in this blog did show such a maturity when they openly and bluntly condemned the isolated incidents of violence that targeted innocent small time andhra business men and settlers.
You do not have that maturity.
What is your mental age kiddo?

  30. To all the @realitys of the world: it is astounding the way you try characterize all the sacrifices and participants in this movement. You only choose to pick and parse the right wing fringe talk from some of the Telangana leaders. All the while, ignoring the right wing lunatic perspectives from the Andhra leaders.

This self-immolation is a shame in a democracy. One who stands for democracy should try to at least understand the root causes of these problems that are pushing people over the line. Imagine what can happen if more Yadaiahs decide to be less discretionary.

Rather than solving the problem in a simplistic manner, you pretend that all this blood spilled by Telanganas is some kind of conspiracy or brainwash.

Let us hope sanity prevails before we get engulfed in an uncontrollable spiral of hatred. Now is the time for the creation of the Telangana state.

144 is not for campus. It is for city. Thats why police are not allowing them into city. They are not objecting them when they are meeting in the campus.

Also on the topic of democratic rights , what right has the OU JAC to declare that united ap meetings cannot be held in Hyd. Indian citizens can conduct meetings anywhere in India as long as they have due police and legal permissions. But then the OU JAC doesnt remember democratic rights of andhras.

  35. Reality,
You seem to be overlooking my previous comment.
You have the answers in that.
144 section in Hyderabad is unconstitutional.
They are imposing it unnecessarily and trying to suppress the peaceful movement. By that they are flexing it to look more violent and therefore exercise more brutal powers.Govt. is utilizing its discretionary powers in a wrong way.
It is against the democratic principles.
If this tactic succeeds, with in few years the whole lot of autocratic and plutocratic people would start ruling the India.
When Chinese govt. ran tanks over protesting students it was done through a govt. order. It is according to their laws.
But all the world condemned it.
It looked at it as the act of tyranny.
Even Gen. Dyers got away with his massacre because he did according to his discretionary powers.
But I do not know if you understand that as a massacre or a good thing.
In 1974 Indira gandhi imposed Emergency using her discretionary powers. There was nothing against the law. She easily got away with it. She jailed several people during the emergency. And since it is emergency it was legal.
But there is a difference between legality and Justice.
We are voicing against Injustice and you are putting forth the argument of Government rules and regulations.
What is the use of govt. that only caters rich and powerrful?
    Certainly people will revolt.
    That is what happenning.

Police is using their discretionary powers. They are basing their judgements based on past experiences. What is the track record of OU students ? How many times have these mobs turned violent and attacked people and properties ?Should police forget that ? Who will be held responsible if the mob turns violent and burns the city ?

Point is OU students have zero credibility when it comes to conducting peaceful protests. Thats why police are taking preemptive actions.

Even yesterday we saw how habsiguda was turned into a battle scene by OU mobs in the evening. Now there are rumours that seemandhra families in tarnaka, habsiguda were preparing themselves for the attack that was going to happen if police failed to stop these mobs.

Some years ago ,assembly of manipur was set on fire in a
similar kind of protest . What impact do you think the sight of burning assembly will have on the future of AP ?

As for China argument , this is not China . OU JAC can go to SC and get all their permissions. In fact , they went to High court to get permission for 'Gharjana' and then violated the constitutional rights of andhras by making statements like "andhras will not be allowed to return from holidays"

  54. What was so different in the life of an average T student on year back and now, that he commits suicide in a violent manner? What will he accomplish by that? It is sad students and public don't understand that separation (or Samaikyandhra for that matter) wont happen because of suicides or fasting or threatening.

Consider what Madhu Yashki said few days back: "Cant you see T people commiting suicides? How many more ppl we should lose? Give T immediately". With statements like these, they are giving sanctity and meaning to suicides.

These politicians do 'sava rajakeeyalu' and the gullible people are 'samidhalu'. Next time some T politician mofo utters statements like these, he should be jailed. Same goes to internet mafia showering condolences from their a/c comforts.

Using evasive and diversionary tactics, almost any sane and irrational argument can be reduced to absurdity. This is what he is doing. And he has been successful.

Use roundabout questions, doubting every assertion and every statement - even those which are considered true and accepted, he is creating chaos. He has been successful.

If you think about. Andhras have been doing this to Telangana for quite long time now. You will see our leaders in disarray while Andhras always pose a concerted and unified front.

when a kid all of 18 years , orphan who is working partime and also helping a orphanage self immolates and runs towards police , you question his and other ulterior motives?

how come your human HEART doest pause ? how come you BRAIN is active to find the ulterior motives ?

when there are series of these events why dont you atleast PAUSE for a second and think about his mind set when he doused himself with kerosene and ran towards the police and in a way a FAILED STATE ADMINSTRATION/POLICE?

Yadiah didnt think about his suicide on just one day ...60 years of our shared AP history has failed him...this political system has failed him ...collectively we all failed him...

when we cannot assure one young indian that justice will be served to him , what right we have to talk about democracy and rules?

    K. Srinivas in his Andhrajyothy editorial has written painfully that Telangana people with such history of valor and courage have leaders who cant say no to Madams and Babus. If they all say we are with you and will fight for you , will these kids DIE?

When someone leads a telangana movement , he is a DORA . when a student fights for his rights , he is a naxalite and when any telanganite doest actively participate in the agitation , he is an innocent, law abiding and good guy.

As a first step in boycotting ...lets start with "Reality" please boycott his comments...
don't answer and also in respect for the students who are fighting for the TG lets NOT ANSWER OR RESPOND to any illogical questions from any "anonymous"...just refrain...I have been doing this for last couple of weeks...and its doable.

Today we have more serious issues to discuss:

    1) It really saddens to see how Govt is tagging student agitation with moists, today even HMA (Home Min) suspects this, just saw in NDTV scrolling...

    2) In coming days they (AP Govt and HMA) are going to tag all the village level agitations with moists

    3) In coming days to prove their point or arguement Govt will file false cases or will brand some students as moists

    4) They will do i.e item 3 in at villages level as well.

    5) Govt is bent upon or is planning to sabotage people movement with moists tag.

Again TG bros on this blog please don't waste time in responding to illogical questions...think and come out with ideas to check-mate Govt from branding TG people movement as moists and bringing peace to on-going agitation.

  72. At the death of soldiers and people who die for a good cause. It is absolutely essential to recognize the sacrifice and the committment to a cause. To drive home the point that we value their committment to the cause and we will recognize that committment. India very rarely gives Param Vir Chakra to people who come out alive in War.

When someone says, life is waste or They are brainwashed or People are exploiting etc.. Dont such commenters realize that people living in good environment don't succumb. That means, the environment is very unfair. When someone goes to these levels of sacrifice, the system is blatantly unfair. Do you recognize that is the problem and not Telangana Leaders.

Arthur Cotton build the barrage in Rajamundry unable to see the plight of people from that areas repeatedly suffering from floods. He was disciplined by the British Empire for allocating funds and going beyond his job description. I admire and deeply respect that humanist. But alas, what have the Andhra Supremacists learned from that. Like giving a flower to a monkey - it was wasted.

When someone says that you leaders have brainwashed. Please go RIGHT NOW to a Psychiatrist. You are Psycotic and need urgent treatment. (Pyscotic = not to understand(empathize) the feelings of another human being). Hitler was a Psycho, you seem to have the same tendencies. Please take medical help IMMEDIATELy.

Andhra Supremacists please go to Kashmir and tell Indian Army to stop fighting and go back to their families. Tell BISF, ITBP also the same and say put your weapons down and hands up for the sake of your families. Please do demonstrations infront of every Army, Navy and Air Force recruitment station to "Remember your kids, wife, parents" dont join the defence forces. When you die, your family will suffer.

Keep your advise to yourself. Instead of telling Telangana people what is right or wrong. Learn from Arthur Cotton and do something to make a positive contribution for Telangana districts (not Hyderabad).

How about 40% from the second and third irrigated crop to poor farmers in Telangana (16 bags of Paddy). Please come up and show your committment to a United Andhra. Let us see how many thousands and lakhs of people will say yes from East and West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Nellore. Then you say Jai Samakya Andhra. Till then you are brain washed, pyscotic, selfish, cruel and mean people.

Why does not someone step up from Andhra to solve the problem. Or Andhra is only full of Supremacists. Who dont care for either Telangana or India.

  73. Guys:

You misread me. I didn’t intend to boycott Reality. I said the following:

I strongly advice you to refrain from answering to everything Reality says.

I didn’t suggest boycotting him but only to practice restraint when answering everything he says. Most of what he says is only with an intention to bait, malign and provoke – used as diversionary tactic to move away from the topic under discussion.

Let me illustrate. If I was Reality or his ilk that regularly appears on this forum, this is how I would react to students protest for freedom and democracy in Tiananmen Square.

    1. Who paid all those students who protested in Tiananmen Square? In China with so many people, it is so easy to buy protestors to show up for any event. I wonder how much they were paid for each protestor. $10? That is too much in China. $1 is enough. With $1000 I can get 1000 protestors. This whole student movement is a charade. It is politically motivated.

    2. I wonder who brainwashed this ‘Tank Man of Tiananmen Square’ to stand in front of that column of tanks. I am sure someone has given him an incentive like a free job so that he went and stood in front of those tanks. What a gimmick!

    3. Why are most students in Tiananmen Square only from Arts? Why are there no students from Engineering? Aren’t these hooligans from various districts of China? I am quite sure there are many terrorists involved in the movement.

    4. China should just crush this movement ruthlessly, if needed they should use napalm bombs to teach them a lesson. Don’t they realize they should respect the law and not congregate in Tiananmen Square when the government explicitly asked them to vacate it? What do they think? Do they think they are above the law?

    And so on.

You have to understand that any genuine movement can be dismissed with such questions. Answering such questions unnecessarily allows these baiters to bait us more, allow these provokers to provoke us more.

I was not suggesting boycott. I was suggesting restraint. Don’t get tempted to answer his questions right away. It’s easy to ask many questions like I did before.

Really concerned people do not ask questions like above. They ask questions like what made these thousands of students ask for freedom? What made that ‘Tank Man’ stand in front of those Tanks? What must be the underlying reasons why people in China are clamoring for freedom? Isn’t the current setup good enough?

When Reality et al starts asking such questions, answer them. Till then, practice restraint.

    Thank you.

  75. Sujai and other T supporters,

Can you please let me know what is wrong with cooperating with Srikrishna Commission to make sure sure your views are heard loud and clear? It is clear that Central govt has for the first time in the history of Independent India has initiated the process of creation of Telangana state. So, there is NO precedence of Central govt saying Telangana will be created and not doing anything towards that decision for the last 60 years. So, why not give it a chance? Can this madness be stopped and rule of law prevail? Of course, it is the nature of all committees that it is not binding on the government. Govt has initiated the process on good faith, when the decision to pass the bill in Assembly as a first step was not followed. Government cannot create a state based on street protests else same steps will be replicated across the country. I repeat Central govt has never given a word on Telangana that it did not follow. As responsible citizens of India, we owe it to our country that we allow the rule of law to prevail and not get carried away by emotions. Lets give peace a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Krishna,
What is the need for another committee. We perceive it as another ploy tot deny. Delay is the worst case of all denials.
This is what the center is contemplating by setting up a committee.
It is a open secret that telangana was marginalized in the last 50 years.
It has already been proved that whatever the promises or safeguards that were set up as the conditions for merger have been completely ignored and not implemented.
This has been proved by various commissions already.
Now setting up another committee to go back again is simply a mischief to deliberately deny the the state of telangana.
The foremost allegation by telangana is that andhra region is enjoying a lopsided bureaucratic strength. And the setting up of the committee is just another way to cater the bureaucracy of andhra and this has nothing to do with telangana.
That is why we reject the commission. In the past 60 years there were 6 committees that studies the various issues and two of them actually the case of separate state. All are favorable for a separate state.
It is clearly evident that the union has given in to the plutocracy, money and power lobby of andhra.
The committee is just a red tape bureaucracy to delay and finally deny Telangana demands.
We do not want anymore committees.
We would like to have a separate state before the river water dispute tribunals complete their analysis and present their suggestions to the govt.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Krishna,

Do you think central govt will listen committee recommendations, nope. History proved that many times.

I personally would submit my opinion to the commitee and put forward case for telangana and i hope everyone does that just for the fact that center has constituted it and its become a formal process.

what ultimately forms telangana is NOT the committee or its recommendation but a official statement from the congress part head ( Sonia) and TD party chief Babu that as per the Election manifesto they would support the formation of telangana. we already know PRP cheif has cheated the people of Telangana and his party has lost everything in Telangana.
They should show the meaning of Leadership and walk the talk .

True test of leadership doest come when everything is in order. Leadership comes when things are tough and you need to take tough decisions according to your conscience .

  86. In 2001 Manipur assembly was set on fire .
" Manipur today went up in flames with 13 people killed and over 50 wounded in police firing as demonstrators protesting the Naga ceasefire extension set ablaze the Assembly and the Chief Minister's Secretariats and Government buildings, leading to imposition of an indefinite curfew in three districts on the last day of the 66-hour State bandh.

Official sources said 10 of the 13 persons were killed in the campus of the Chief Minister's Secretariat, which was torched and completely razed. The Speaker, Mr. Sapam Dhananjay, was roughed up and seriously injured. Four legislators, including Mr. N. Bihari Singh, Mr. L. Tomba Singh and Mr. P. Achou Singh, were also injured.

This is what will happen when we allow mobs to lay siege to legislatures.Ironically this mob was against splitting of Manipur state :).

Now what do you think the image of burning assembly will have on the minds of investors when they read this news on WSJ,Bloomberg. Not just foreign investors ,even domestic investors will be scared to come to AP and HYD.

In a way this assembly siege by maoist led students would have been a symbolic victory for Maoists. "We dont care for legislatures, we will usurp power through violece"

Thats why Police were dead against this assembly siege.

What were varavararao ,gaddar doing in 'Vidyarthi Gharjana' ? Are they students ? Those two are naxals who put on the mask of civil socetiy liberals.

The way these students talk and behave "disregarding democracy , constitutional rights , committing violence ,laying siege to legislatures " clearly shows that some have already become naxals and many are on the path of becoming naxals.

Also i am not saying all Telangana agitators are naxals. I am mostly refering to OU students.

As for brain washing ,we have seen all kinds of fake data that was circulated over the years to make a case for T state and prove "andhra looting" . Is that not brain wash.

Now ,even worse , some sections of T movement are identifying poor and weak minded people and instigating , encouraging them to become "martyrs" for Telangana.

Why only poor and backward section people die as martyrs ? Who is brainwashing them to take these extreme steps? Who are the people who are glorifying this suicides ?

    ReplyDelete
  95. Chandu it is the ugly manifestation of what happened 60 years ago and is been happening with telangana since then.
You are just looking at one suicide incident.
If you look through the history you will see these since the past 6o years right from the merger.
The suicides of cotton farmers in 90's, suicides of sircilla weavers in 2000's, 1969 massacre and several others.
You simply did a mistake of associating two effects with cause-effect relationship.
But these both, telangana movement and suicides are both results of the actual cause, merger of Andhra and telangana.
You should go to college again.

  97. Gaddar was a Naxalite long back and retired from activities. He is known to be an associate of YSR.
Varvar Rao was a sympathizer of Naxalites and is a poet who actually protested Sri Sri for his double standards(known to be a communist).
And these people joined the students after the movement has started. The student movement became active in November and these people joined the students somewhere in late December. These two may be naxalites but they have been for years making telangana demand separately. They are telanganites before they became naxalites.
You cannot ignore the fact that telangana demand has been in place long before the Naxalite movement started.
You are simply making a fallacy of guilt by association. That does not prove the cause-effect relation.
    That does not prove that

  98. The way these students talk and behave "disregarding democracy , constitutional rights , committing violence ,laying siege to legislatures " clearly shows that some have already become naxals and many are on the path of becoming naxals.

Whenever the tyranny of the govt. is questioned the people on the top use the law and order for their own selfish reasons. The telangana protests in OU have turned violent not because of the students but because of the brutality of police. If they did not stop them there would not be any violence. IF you clearly see, telangana students simply retaliated police brutality with stones. But they suffered injuries from bullets and lathis. Everyone else is condemning the police actions. Strangely you are supporting it.
And laying seize to Legisltive assembly was to make them act faster on the separation issue and not delay(that is what happening here.) When we are undergoing intense crisis on one issue the govt. cannot ignore that and work on its own issues. The matter of primary importance, which is separate telangana has to be focused. Acting like nothing has happened is a deliberate mischief on the part of the govt.
They cannot ignore telangana people forever.
And why are you projecting the students intent of cornering Legislative assembly as seize of democracy.
Remember the very legislators they elected have betrayed them. According to us, they do not have the right to sit on the govt. and make laws. That is the reason why they planned Legislative assembly protest. It is neither seize nor a taking over of the democracy.
Andhra media and govt has projected it in a wrong sense.

All these days the underdevelopment of telangana had been projected as the result of naxalism(actually naxalism was the result of underdevelopment). Now the naxalism in telangana is at its abysmal proportions, govt. and andhra are saying there is no underdevelopment at all( very strange). And until recently the govt. has been saying that the naxal problem in telangana has reached its end, but now they say that movement like telangana agitaions(with millions of supporters) is staged by naxals.
They are two contradicting statements by the same govt.
I don't know how you believe this.

  100. As for brain washing ,we have seen all kinds of fake data that was circulated over the years to make a case for T state and prove "andhra looting" . Is that not brain wash.
How can you say that it is fake data?
I will tell you what you guys are doing to make it a fake.
We give the data on existing inappropriate distribution of resources and development in telangana. You give a data on some other developments in different realms that happened in telangan since past 50 years. You try to deny the facts by showing some irrelavant evidence.
IF you want to disprove the facts shown by telangana people you have to show that the sources are wrong.
No you come up with very different data instead.
That is not how science works.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Now ,even worse , some sections of T movement are identifying poor and weak minded people and instigating , encouraging them to become "martyrs" for Telangana.
What the heck are you trying to pose here as?
Suicides in telangana due to poverty are happening since several years.
And do you think suicidal tendency is only a genetically acquired trait??
It is a social stigma. It has various social reasons associated with it.
If a group of people are constantly subjected to social and political depravity, the most sensitive individuals of the group have a greater chance to under go depression and develop suicidal tendencies.
    That is what happening here.
And you are simply blaming the strong willed people of the group for the suicide of the sensitive individual of the group.
You should blame the Andhra Govt. that has created such a situation for the sensitive individuals of the group to take that drastic step.
    The

  102. Why only poor and backward section people die as martyrs ? Who is brainwashing them to take these extreme steps? Who are the people who are glorifying this suicides ?

This is your complete ignorance on the issue. You have completely lost in the idea that telangana movement is some kind of machination that is operated by few individuals.
Telangana movement is not a chess machine and not that the players are sacrificing the pawns to win the game.
Come out of that rigid mind and you will see the reality.
Poor and backward are the most affected people due to the present lopsided arrangement of AP. They are the real sufferers. No one else other than these people can know what injustice that has been done to them since all these years.
You some how have developed aversion to the poor and downtrodden due to the convent based education you had.
You should remember that in democratic setup, every one has equal rights and powers. Just because you are educated does not mean that you have more powers. Indeed education gives you responsibilities to understand the plight of the under privileged and not autocratic power of decision making on their behalf.

    ReplyDelete
  103. And telangana people are not glorifying the suicides.
They are showcasing it as a fact show the reality to those who have turned blind eye to the plight of downtrodden poor of telangana.
If we do not let the people know what is happening to the poor people of telangana, then there is no other way to prove the case of telangana. Every thing else would be a simple red tape.

You are using pure commie rhetoric. India wasted two generations potential because of its stupid socialist policies. More than Telangana i am afraid of this commie-maoist talk.

Do you think there are no poor and down trodden in Andhra ? In India 60% are poor. No region can escape this reality whether it is Telangana or Andhra. It is only by investing in infrastructure and education , creating environment where entrepreneurs can thrive ,can we reduce poverty. In the last 20 years since liberalization we had some success in reducing poverty. Many sections of poor were able to move into middle class.

Do you think in Telangana state poverty will vanish just like that? Dont show heaven for Telangana poor. Your TRS leaders ,JACs are already doing that.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Reality,
Now for the first time you came down to basics.
We know that India is 60% poor. Remember India is not uniformly 60% poor. The poverty stricken regions have their own local reasons.
But the situation can be improved by good governance.
And making a separate telangana is a big step for good governance.
I need not explain to you in detail, for all was explained in previous posts and comments.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Do you think in Telangana state poverty will vanish just like that? Dont show heaven for Telangana poor. Your TRS leaders ,JACs are already doing that.
Your imagination is some thing like this.
"You do not want to study or go to school because you are not certain that after the several years of education you may not immediately land up in the good kind of life you are expecting. So you do not want to go to school"
For 6 decades telangana poor has not seen any real development and they do not expect that in future except for more betrayals and broken promises.
Let them decide their own fate.

    ReplyDelete
  107. And reality,
As far as I remember you think separate telangana is good?
    Don't you?
I think you said that before. But for unknown reasons you want hyderabad to be separated from telangana.

    ReplyDelete
  108. @ Sravan

//And making a separate telangana is a big step for good governance.//

Please ,what is this childish argument. How will a separate telangana state improve governance ? Will there no be corruption in T state? Will there be no red tape in T state ?

You will be only be replacing a combined AP leadership by Telangana leadership. They are as corrupt or as good as Andhra leaders.

If you think separate Telangana is a big step for good governance you are only deluding yourself.

I am accepting Telangana because I am scared of the hatred propaganda that was unleashed on Andhras. It is only for that reason i am accepting Telangana without Hyd.

But still I don't want Telangana state to go in the commie-maoist way.I dont wish for bad fate on any one ,let alone Telangana. Telangana poor will be the worst sufferers if T goes the commie-maoist way.

He simply said all, that includes the corrupt telangana politicians.
Why are so angry over that statement?
Are you one of those counted?? Or do you think you are corrupted??

You are probably unaware of the democratic federal principle that increased federalism would push development due to better governance.
In democratic setup, the diversification of power and disintegration of power to minor bodies will help improve the integrity of the nation.
Have you heard about "Gram Sawarajya"?
Man, you definitely need to go back to school for more civics lessons.

  131. Partitions are good, when both sides leave peacefully in harmony, supporting each other whenever required.

Should not be like India-Pakistan partition by British, which left a deep scar and both sides are at war over Kashmir.

Unity and Partition are two sides of coin. Like a toss in a cricket, sometimes heads-up, sometimes tails-up. Both are completely fine, as long as people live peacefully and do their daily-work and earn our daily-bread.

India has very very long history (yes. I agree they were many a troubled patch). There were many kingdoms ruled by Hindus, then were ruled by Muslims, then by the British. If we closely, observe history, whenever there was a great ruler, most of India was under one ruler. Whenever, there is lack of good rulers, kingdoms split into parts.

The boundaries of all these ruling territories kept changing from rulers to rulers. Capitals kept changing. Still after these many years, one thing never changed, we are still Indians.

Be cool, stay happy, respect each other, do our respective work which God gave us life for. India always gave us great leaders, and will give me great leaders (corrupt leaders excluded). Good to follow the great leaders like - Swami Vivekananda.
