Question to Andhras

I have a question to my Andhra brothers:

Do you feel that Andhra politicians and people are responsible for change in P Chidambaram’s stance from 9 December to 23 December?

[This must be the shortest post on this blog. Also this is the only time I have a posed a question to my readers. I am hoping that our Andhra brothers will volunteer to answer the above question. You can start your answer with ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. Thanks in advance.]

  1. Yes, the Politicians and People of "Andhra Pradesh" are responsible for the change in the statement.

    a) they might be bad.. but the word Politicians says its all. likes like CBN, Chir etc were calm when kcr did the hunger strike as every body knew what a sick guy he is, but when the students started agitating and doing suicide the govt must of thought thats the choice of the majority and made a mistake earlier which they "wisely" changed saying a consensus is needed.

  2. Yes.

The center is acting like a headless chicken. Even the previous decision of granting Telangana was made in a very cavalier and undemocratic manner. I am hoping normalcy will be restored asap and then a dialogue has to begin.

  4. Md. Salem, If you think this is all about only how we speak language then i should say your reason and opinion are may be good only for you.
Since you are an educated person, I suggest you take a look at sujai's blog on telangana and many other literary works which shows how telangana as a region was strategically exploited and was rendered a weak territory and its poeple lost their voice against a despotic polic regime of congress.
You will also learn how promises made were broken, any questions blatantly suppressed, plans to develop were trashed and many more.
So if only language is the barrier as you said every telanganite is proud about telugu. Are you not?

  6. No one seems to consider the history and geography of telangana for its backwardness. It is unfair to put entire blame on "evil" andhrites

Do not expect any "fairness", when the mob can loot and kill you or even occupy the "evil" people's property..

When Facts hurt, I would rather try to find facts in favor of me. Never would try to abject.
    Try finding facts and truth.
I don't feel offended to your words but pity that you do not go beyond your emotions to read the reason and empathize.
I completely disapprove the actions of those who are creating arson. I also similarly disapprove the same if done against govt's property. I don't see any difference between them. Personal is strictly personal but govt. whose property is that?? Well don't you think everybody would sometime or other are downhearted by policy makers?
well I don't think you ever know about the incidents in Central university before Chidambaram's second announcement.
Well I am sure you pretty well know about the arson in seemandhra before that.
I oppose anybody who extend their emotional outburts to violence.
I am sorry that we had to see that today.

  9. It is very unfortunate the violent protests turned from sporadic to frequent. We should show no difference in empathyzing with the vicitims of destruction, be it an Andhrite or a Telanganite. As a proponet of Telangana state I apologize to the victims and feel sorry that these untoward incidents are happening part of this movement. The movement being humonogous, there will always be elements taking undue advantage.I hope this ends before it turns ugly.
It is also time for people of Andhra to accept the wish of Telangana people. There is no use in fighting for United Andhra, when the maority of the Telangana people do not want to be part of it any more. It is time for the politicians to meet across the table and make this happen in a pecaceful manner.

  10. It is easy to say "we are underdeveloped". Did those telengana movement leaders did ask themselves or their leaders, what they have done for past 62 years ? Why aren't they part of development process. Are they sleeping ? They come back and say, Telengana movement is there in 60's, then no one are developed, how could others can get develop and why noy you?. Ask your self.
It is always politicians private agenda, not the common men's. Those who argue for that also will have some private agenda, may be that some time later they want to become another MLA or want to open another business unit @ less cost and more benefits etc. it is not people's agenda, it is politicians private agenda.

    KitChals: Agree with Bix completely.
At the same time just I can't accept that for just wishes if we start dividing, we end daily announcing a new state.
Rather than, its the time to debate and discuss, brain storm and find the root cause and fix it. As a part of Resolution it could be a separate Telengana be it, but for wishes one one can divide. This should be in the interest of all people in a long term not in short term.

  12. Appreciate Md salem for experiencing both places and took individual decession. Probably if a person like you is constantly echoed only if you get seperate state you get prospeity you may not be even thinking like this. I think thats what is happening with most of ppl over telengana, ppl should give 1st priority to compete and develope instead of developing or engouraging envoy.
