Telangana Human Chain: Details

Map: Telangana

Many of the major towns and cities of Telangana are covered.  The total coverage is approximately 3500 Km.  The biggest problem will be to mobilize the people to the right part of the chain.  To ensure the chain is not uneven – that means more people at some sections and nobody during certain sections, we have to follow some guidelines.

Chain Formation:
1.       Move people of your district within your district.
2.       Start mobilizing the people quite early – at 8:00 AM itself.   Move the first set of people away from the towns and villages since the later entrants will stick closer to their villages and towns.
3.       Use all kinds of vehicles to mobilize.  Prefer buses, lorries, and tractors since they carry more people. Let there be designated spots for pick up.  Ensure there are many vehicles that are being used.
4.       Allow people to use their modes of transportation.  Make sure they park the vehicles outside the road so that they don’t block the roads.
5.       Ensure people stand on outside or the periphery of the road.  Don’t let them stand right on the road by which the traffic gets constricted.
6.       Where necessary, such as cities and towns, use more than one chain.  Use both sides of the road.  If necessary have more than two chains on each side to accommodate people.  Make sure the chain is spread even.  Don’t leave some parts of the roads uncovered.
7.       Improvise where necessary.  If there is an interest, use roads that are not on the map as long as they are connected with a designated road on the map.

Maps: Towns and Cities

Soon I will add the maps of cities and towns where there will be many roads where people will form chains.   Don’t allow overcrowding in some sections.   Spread the chain far away from the cities and towns as much as possible.

  3. More over, it is not a weekend and we may loose many people like students, private/govt. employees etc. And if the man of the house(or elder son) can not come, then most likely the whole family may not come. (house wifes, senior citizens, kids may fear that they lost in the mob if there elder ones are not with them).

  4. When we are advertising this event to people we must stress the point that "this is not a political event", otherwise few may afraid of lotty charges, riots etc and do not involve in the chain.

  5. Sujai,

There is hardly any time left if the date is gonna be finalized as Feb 3rd. I think the event is being rushed way too much considering the scale of mobilization it requires. All the planning will go down the drain as we wont have a second chance if it goes wrong the first time. Most people dont even have a clue about it. We are just starting to gain momentum thru advertising it in as many ways as we can. The original proposed date of late Feb sounds good. Please use your judgement and plan appropriately.

  6. Yeah, Green Star has some important points related to having the 'man of the house' available! May be this should be discussed at the meeting on 31st Jan

  7. Sujai,
Please clear the confusion, regarding the correct date.Too many ideas are floating around.
It might lead to confusion regarding the exact date.
Morover we arent prepared enough with either material or manpower for such a short notice.
    The earlier proposed date
in the last week of Feb
    sounds better than
    the 3rd of Feb.
I am planning to get some papercaps and
    stickers printed.If anyone
    has any suggestions please
feel free to address here.I,d personally like to stay away from pink, for obvious reasons.
    @greenstar,
bro your efforts are appreciated. The content looks much better.
    Thanks.

  9. @lavanya dyapa

Thanks Sis(?). I guess until Sujai confirms, that date is Feb-21. I don't think they will go with Feb-03 because of various practical problems. As some one said, we have only one chance to make it, so we better take enough time before we hit it.

Lavanya, I am wondering what are those stickers you are talking about !! Before you printing any thing make sure you try to include the Telangana Manadaharam logo from http://telanganahumanchain.com/. I think it is our official logo.

By the way the if any new user wondering what content about Lavanya talking about, see this

  12. this is my personal comment from my 4 friends in Hyderabad. They have roots from telangana, andhra and elsewhere and from their perspective Telangana movement is disruption to Hyderabad growth.period. I get a feeling they are not concerned for both telangana and andhra and just think about Hyd.

again this is my personal comment and I cant say for all people in hyd.

also just now read IBN article and thats the main reason we want to have this Human chain to be a hit and tell everyone once and all that this is peoples movement and its OUR sole intent to have our telangana state.

  13. Ok, got to know from a friend that TV channels back home are running scrollings of two dates - Adilabad to Mahbubnagar on 3rd, Kodad to Hyderabad on 5th!

JAC just can't get it right on this! Buddy it's about getting "everyone" into it - weekdays won't help, why in the world are they doing it this way???

Or at least let them declare that 21st chain will also be conducted, and these are just warm up events, to get experience and feedback.

Sujai or anyone else - any feelers as to what is it that JAC is looking at?

  14. From an organizational standpoint, there should be a strategy. Here is what I have come up with.

    1) Number of people needed to cover 1km length is 700 (Based on 1 person covering 5ft roughly translated to 1.5 meters)

    2) Have one volunteer every km. So, if we have 3500 volunteers whose sole responsibility is to mobilize 700 people for his designated length, that should cover his area.

    3) Volunteers must be all very clear where their jurisdiction is

    4) Have a trial run for the volunteers and perhaps some of the participants at least a couple of days before the event.

  15. if the event needs to be a grand success, some more time is needed ... feb 3rd will be tooo early

whenever it's conducted, if students are informed it would be easy ... they themselves will mobilse their respective families to participate

"I am planning to get some papercaps and

plz. keep away from any colors especially pink ... I would say, you go for plain white.

and for every km, if two or three national flags are displayed it would be better

  16. How about doing some long-term good to our Telangana during this Human-chain?

    LETS MAP TELANGANA!!!

Lets map every major intersection, highway and landmarks like schools, colleges and hospitals that fall along the path of human chain.

  17. I feel feb 3rd is tooo early. We have to educate most of the village people they should think about lotty charge or riots.
If this event fails then Andhra Leaders get a chance to comment on this saying "Most of T ppl r nt supporting it thats y it failed "
We should give them a chance , i feel there is good possibilty of failure if we paln it on feb 3rd. Or we can show on TV add but the problem here is Andhra people can form a bigger line if they do it first
